=Robotics programmer and engineer (Full-time)=
*Title of position and grade
Robotics programmer and engineer

*Name of employing Hospital and Department: 
Surgical Navigation and Robotics Laboratory in the Department of Radiology at Brigham and Women’s Hospital

*Minimum degree and field of specialized knowledge required to perform the job: 
Candidate must have a minimum of a BS degree in Engineering or Physics.

*Minimum years of experience required in the field: 
At least 3 years proven experience with developing and/or modifying robot, preferably in the academic and industrial research setting.

*Characteristic duties and responsibilities
**Design, test, and build surgical robots
**Develop control software for surgical robot
**Document the detail of the robot
**Technically assist in academic researchers for robotics research
**Interface external collaborators and assist in their application using the developed tools and software

*Licenses or special skills necessary to perform the job: 
**Strong skill in C++ programming is needed.
**Experience in developing PC-based motion controllers system is needed.
**Knowledge of any of the following is a plus: MATLAB, SimuLink, motion controllers, coordinate transformation, programmable logic controllers (PLC), network programming, linux administration, and machine vision technology.

Laboratory Administrative Secretary

*Name of employing Hospital and Department: 
Surgical Navigation and Robotics Laboratory in the Department of Radiology at Brigham and Women’s Hospital

*Minimum degree and field of specialized knowledge required to perform the job: 
Required: High School Diploma or GED
Preferred: Two years college or equivalent work experience

*Minimum years of experience required in the field: 
Two years administrative/office experience required. Three years preferred. Additional education may be substituted for years of experience. Experience working with various software applications required.

*Characteristic duties and responsibilities
**Organize publication list in a computer database
**Write summery report of the projects from document material provided by the laboratory members
**Uses personal computer to prepare manuscripts, grant proposals, statistical reports, tables, and charts using knowledge of scientific, medical, literary, or other technical terms.
**Process and track purchase order
**Monitors monthly expenditure statements for budgets and prepares documents required to maintain balanced accounts for review and approval by supervisor.
**Prepare expense report of the business trips
**Coordinates special projects and events, office activities and committee meetings.
**Locates and compiles information and formats reports, graphs, tables, records and other sources of information.
**Assembles and categorizes facts and figures for written computation and calculations.
**Uses various software applications, such as spreadsheets, relational databases, statistical packages, and graphics packages to assemble, manipulate and/or format data and/or reports.
**Maintains records through filing, retrieval, retention, storage, compilation, coding, updating and destruction.
**Types routine correspondence and reports from dictation or handwritten copy using personal computer.
**Operates personal computer to access e-mail, electronic calendars, and other basic office support software.
**Completes various request forms for office supplies and equipment as directed.
