Diffusion Measures Along Fiber Tracts
Our obective is to quantify changes in diffusion properties along the cingulum bundle for schizophrenics and normal controls.
Description
We improved the diffusion MRI module in slicer to allow for a better fiber selection (based on multiple regions of interest) as well as fiber clustering. We set up a processing pipeline to allow for statistical computations of fiber diffusion properties across the fibers of a fiber bundle and along the bundle itself. Further, we are in the process of developing a continuous representation of fiber bundles (see Figure) to allow for a more geometric computation of bundle diffusion quantities.
