Meeting Minutes
mi2b2 software update
- Working out the integration between the GUI and the underlying mi2b2 software. Working out the issues as the workflow progresses from "Tab 3" to "Tab 4" (image download from START-D cache to workbench). Left to be worked out from Phase 2 software release is performance issues at MGH - some problems are due to lack of static IP address others due to laptop maybe others too. First step is to upgrade hardware/software at MGH site. Should be done ASAP when Darren is able. Reviewed the hardware specs used for the BWH site, and we agreed that it would be fine with the addition of more disk space. Darren to review whether it will integrate with the MGH site.
- By the end of this grant funding all our participating sites should be equipped with the following hardware/software and support:
- Two machines, a development/test machine and a production machine, that are as close to identical in terms of CPUs, network connections/speeds, RAM
- Minimum of 1TB mirrored disk space
- Additional Raid 5 storage for data to the maximum our funds will allow with back up and maintenance contract on the production machine
- Maintenance plan
- 8 by 5 service agreement (next business day)
- Integrated STAR-D and XNAT software (use same versions of JBoss, Apache, etc and manage ports in a harmonious way)
- We will take further steps to delineate our plans for the maintenance operations next week
ACRIN presentation
The presentation went smoothly as did whole session. Most interesting to Chris was the connection he made with Dan Rubin of Stanford who is interested in collaborating on the annotation requirements for our project. Also had a useful conversation with Yurong Gee from Wake Forest (have i2b2 and XNAT up and running) who is interested in being a test site for the first non-BIRN beta test site of the mi2b2 software.
BIDMC mi2b2 proposal is approved
- Jesse reported that the BIDMC Radiology Department gave it's approval for the project. The project was passed to the IT group for implementation in cooperation with Jesse. He will explore the options of a virtual machine versus a new separate physical machine.
XNAT -- mi2b2 integration
- Chris will pass to Tim Java classes for the i2b2 authentication. Wash U was standing up their own sandbox for this project.
