- What: Basic visualization, interactive editing, volume rendering, DTI
Preparations
Hardware Requirements: Laptop with enough graphics and memory: dedicated graphics accelerator, 512M graphics memory, 3-4GB of main memory
Please complete the following items prior to the workshop.
- Software installation: Please download and install Slicer 3.5 RSNA on your laptop: select from the list below the version appropriate to your platform.
- Windows XP: Slicer3-3.5-RSNA-2009-11-06
- Mac OSX - Darwin x86 Slicer3-3.5-alpha-2009-11-01-darwin-x86.tar.gz
- Mac OSX - Darwin Power PC Slicer3-3.5-alpha-2009-11-10-darwin-ppc.tar.gz
- Linux x86_64 (Linux 64 bits): Slicer3-3.5-alpha-2009-11-01-linux-x86_64.tar.gz
- Linux x86 (Linux 32 bits): Slicer3-3.5-alpha-2009-11-01-linux-x86.tar.gz
- Download and install the demo data sets:
- The 3D Visualization tutorial - part 1 (pdf) and 3D Visualization tutorial - part 2 (pdf) with step by step instructions along with the pre-computed 3D Visualization dataset serve as an introduction to the capabilities of the 3D Slicer software.
- The Neurosurgical DTI demo dataset illustrates the use of DTI analysis for neurosurgical planning in clinical research.
