Project Description
Objective
- Evaluate resolution limits of ultrasound 3D reconstruction by comparing feature detection on a phantom.
- Study effect of tracking variabilities and tracker/image synchronization on reconstruction accuracy
- Consider what inherent limitations are imposed by the resolution of the US
- Compare to gold standard uCT
- Integrate the TeleMed US scanner with PLUS and Slicer
Approach, Plan
- Hook up the tracked Ultrasound
- Test with Elephantom
- Compare with microCT gold standard
Progress
- Used 3D printed tracker holder
- Made several test scans
- Experimented with limits of current implementation and inherent limitations of the probe
- PLUS TeleMed through OpenIGTLink / SlicerIGT works great!
