Present: Doug, Marek, Sylvain, Marc, CF, Bum Seok
Meetings:
- Due to the NAMIC meeting in Utah, there is no DTI meeting next week.
- Human Brain Mapping abstracts are due January 7th. The meeting is June 10-14 in Chicago.
- Doug will be meeting with PIs individually in the next week to organize NAMIC Wiki and make sure we have all the relevant publications listed.
SCANNING
- Glenn Reynolds will be demonstrating new FSE Xeta (T2) sequence (but nobody will be here then, so may have to schedule for another time)
- We will be scheduling testing time at the scanner in the next few weeks
- There is an option to turn off interpolation at the scanner (called 'zip256' and 'zip512') and keep the native resolution. Marc has suggested that we scan the same person under both settings to see how it affects the data.
- Doug will talk to Santi about how to run his filtering on our data (probably through a Matlab script). Marc noted that it should work for our 3T data as long as the noise is still Rician.
PROJECTS
Population Clustering: Due to the breakdown of the FAT nodes, a lot of Lauren's data was lost before she finished processing. Have to check if everything was restored and possibly redo clustering. Doug will check with Lauren to see where we stand.
Maddah's Clustering: Kate gave Maddah 3T cingulum ROIs before Christmas; waiting to hear about results.
Bum Seok, fMRI/DTI:
- Marek suggested that we try to use Lauren's clustering (matlab script, outside of Slicer) on the arcuate fasciculus tractography. Kate has directions for using the matlab script.
- Bum Seok has been using Tract Based Spatial Statistics (TBSS) in conjunction with FSL. This method detects ridges in FA maps and uses them for non-linear registration. Sylvain will email a paper on TBSS to the list.
