Home < 2010-Slicer-UNCDukeIntroduction
A one-day Slicer tutorial will be held at UNC and Duke University on August 11, 2010. The primary objective of these 2 Slicer tutorial events is to introduce users at both universities to the Slicer environment, with a particular focus on its use for visualization, fiber tracking, and editing.

Preparations
- Bring your own laptop with the Slicer installed. Please select the appropriate version relative to the platform you'll be using. We will post the version we want to use in a few days.
- Hardware minimum requirement: 2GB of main memory and graphics hardware acceleration with 256 MB of dedicated graphics memory (nvidia preferred).
Recommended: 4-8GB of main memory and 512MB or more of dedicated graphics memory with a nvidia gpu.
