+ | Image Guided Therapy Research using Open Source Free Software-3D Slicer at the Ultrasound Workshop at Iwate Medical University, on April 10-11, 2013. The objective of this workshop is to learn the usage of 3D Slicer specifically in the context of medical research. Participants will bring their own laptop, install 3D Slicer, and learn about image segmentation using real clinical data. On the other hand, a medical clinician would be lecturing about “Grow Cut Segmentation” and “Label Statistics” using ordinary clinical ultrasound images. There will be an other lecture given by an expert in 3D Slicer, using Japanese version of the tutorial slides. The workshop is followed by live demonstrations by an IGT researcher from Brigham and Women's Hospital modifying 3D Slicer to tailor to clinical applications, and by Dr. Kazunori Baba, a clinical expert from Saitama Medical Center on US scanning. A plenary talk by Dr. Kikinis is scheduled during the workshop. | ||
