Objective
The long-term goal of this project is to integrate with Slicer4 the white matter geometry analysis tools described in
Peter Savadjiev, Yogesh Rathi, Sylvain Bouix, Ragini Verma, Carl-Fredrik Westin: Multi-scale Characterization of White Matter Tract Geometry. MICCAI (3) 2012: 34-41
and
Peter Savadjiev, Gordon L. Kindlmann, Sylvain Bouix, Martha Elizabeth Shenton, Carl-Fredrik Westin: Local white matter geometry from diffusion tensor gradients. NeuroImage 49(4): 3175-3186 (2010)
Approach, Plan
The plan is to integrate these algorithms as Python scripted extensions.
Progress
This project is still at an initial stage. The 2013 summer project week was very useful to learn about developing extensions for Slicer4.
