Objective

The Introduction Seminar on the 3D Slicer will provide researchers at the ICM an overview of the main functionalities of the latest version of the platform Slicer 4.9. Current examples of 3D Slicer project at the ICM will be presented.

Pre-requisites : basics of medical imaging.

Preparation for the Workshop

The workshop combines oral presentations and instructor-led hands-on sessions with the participants working on their own laptop computers. A technical training staff will be providing one-to-one assistance as needed. All participants are required to come with their own computer and install the software and data provided at the links below. Windows XP, Linux or MacOS 10.4 or greater computers are supported. A minimum of 1 GB of RAM (2 GB if possible) and a dedicated graphic accelerator with 64mb of on board graphic memory are required.

  • Software Installation Please install the newest Slicer4.9 Stable release from May 2018 appropriate to the computer you will be bringing to the workshop:
