Agenda
Aim 2: Treatment planning
- Optimization is still in development. Issue with real-time. Doesn't necessary affect H Liu's task.
- 10-20 realistic cases from CT-guided RF retrospective analysis. BWH provides images, ???? segments as tumor as pre-processing. GW/GT run the cases. Gold standard GT physicians. GW take lead in publication.
- BWH action item - obtain images from CT RF cases.
- Is milestone met? we are supposed to do 10 cases. We are on track.
Aim 2: Segmentation
- Sota presented on-line live demonstration of liver segmentation.
- Sota presented deformable registration methods in CTg liver/kidney.
- parameter optimization
- tumor segmentation is not necessary.
- Not much work has been done for vessel segmentation. Ron strongly suggest VMTK for vessel segmentation.
- [ Action Items for Sota] Sota will look into the usefulness of the vessel segmentation (VMTK) in Slicer during this trip.
- S Aylward, looking into vessel segmentation.
Aim 3: System Integration
- H Liu presented status of Slicer interface for RF ablation
- H Liu will add manual needle planning to supplement "the automatic planning and optimization."
- Everyone agreed that we do a mock procedure using Slicer for planning and IGSTK for navigation.
- H Liu and Z Yaniv coordinate data exchange plan.
- Mock procedure to be done during summer.
- Accomplishment for this trip : Import/Export of the plan for navigation.
- Design export/import method btwn Slicer/IGSTK navigation. VTK? DICOM? Planning ? trajectory? NRRD? What to be exchanged?
- Initial implementation?
