Robotics programmer and engineer (Full-time)

Robotics programmer and engineer

• Name of employing Hospital and Department:

National Center for Image Guided Therapy in the Department of Radiology at Brigham and Women’s Hospital

• Minimum degree and field of specialized knowledge required to perform the job:

Candidate must have a minimum of a BS degree in Engineering or Physics.

• Minimum years of experience required in the field:

At least 5 years proven experience with developing and/or modifying robot, preferably in the academic research setting.

• Characteristic duties and responsibilities
  • Design, test, and build surgical robots
  • Develop control software for surgical robot
  • Document the detail of the robot
  • Technically assist in academic researchers
  • Interface external collaborators and assist in their application using the developed tools and software

• Licenses or special skills necessary to perform the job:
  • Strong skill in C++ programming is needed.
  • Experience in developing PC-based motion controllers system is a preferable.
  • Knowledge of any of the following is a plus: motion controllers, coordinate transformation, programmable logic controllers (PLC), network programming, linux administration, and machine vision technology.

• Compensation

Competitive according to experience.
