National Center for Image Guided Therapy in the Department of Radiology at Brigham and Women’s Hospital
- Minimum degree and field of specialized knowledge required to perform the job:
Candidate must have a minimum of a BS degree in Engineering or Physics.
- Minimum years of experience required in the field:
At least 5 years proven experience with developing and/or modifying robot, preferably in the academic research setting.
- Characteristic duties and responsibilities
- Design, test, and build surgical robots
- Develop control software for surgical robot
- Document the detail of the robot
- Technically assist in academic researchers
- Interface external collaborators and assist in their application using the developed tools and software
- Licenses or special skills necessary to perform the job:
- Strong skill in C++ programming is needed.
- Experience in developing PC-based motion controllers system is a preferable.
- Knowledge of any of the following is a plus: motion controllers, coordinate transformation, programmable logic controllers (PLC), network programming, linux administration, and machine vision technology.
- Compensation
