- Attendees: Luis, Bill, Tina, Steve, Dan, Andy, Jeff, Jags, Brendan and others
- Questions from Ron: who should represent NA-MIC in the NIFTI working group?
- NIFTI is expanding, more data formats are being supported and many collaborative sites are using their tools. It makes sense for us to have a more active participation in NIFTI -
- Agreed to invite a NIFTI representative to give a talk at one of the Engineering TCONS -
- Request from Ron: requirements for the NA-MIC cluster package (Jeff Grethe)
- BWH is setting up a new cluster - there is a need to put together requirements for a NAMIC cluster tool kit to be used on the new cluster
- UCSD uses ROCKS on their clusters - BWH also could use ROCKS for cluster monitoring and management - a list of all packages & algorithms is required, it would be nice to incorporate some batch-mode components of Slicer (e.g. Batch-Rendering)
- It makes sense for Slicer to be able to fork compute intensive portions onto the cluster and maintain visualization capabilities locally
- Documentation on ROCKS will be posted on the NAMIC Wiki
- Would be nice to see CPACK actually generate the platform specific packages
- TCON between UCSD, Steve etc to hash out the list of packages & requirements to rocksify the BWH cluster
- Potential project for Summer Programming Week
- would make sense to have an active project where 2/3 examples are tested in tandem with the Slicer execution model
- Next Thursday tcon: project week kickoff (Tina)
- April 3-4 Slicer Meeting in Boston (Tina)
- 2006_Annual_Scientific_Report (Tina, Bill)
