NCBC AHM, Introductory Presentation
Ron gave a slicer talk based on some material from Steve, and Bill is adding to this with more NA-MIC Kit material. This is like a 'sales pitch' that can be used for the NCBC AHM this summer. There will be a 1/2 day dissemination event and chance to present ourselves to the other centers.
Andy Cedilnik is visiting BWH May 4, 5 to work on the wiki-to-web tools so that everyone will be able to easily update their parts of the wiki.
Program for the NCBC AHM will be posted on the wiki under the Events topic.
Progress Report
Appears to be progressing well. More work to be done.
Publication
Ron reminds everyone that publications are important. First author peer reviewed papers are the currency of NIH; preferably MEDLINE. Lack of papers from Core 2 may become an issue in the competitive renewal.
Bill will work on a strategy of which journals would be appropriate. A venue like Nature or Science might be apropriate if the correct topic is selected.
Cores 1 and 3 are also being encouraged to publish.
Slicer3 discussion
Bill is building slicer3 on his basement machine.
Steve and Bill will try setting up slicer3 to use the command line processing system.
Jim is going to set up a dart2 server for slicer3 on na-mic.org.
