- Structured study cases.
- It is now time for the team to get structured study cases ready to start. In order to ask for an IP adress at the different Radiology Departments, do we need to put together a permission package?
- At CHB, the permission to do a query-retrieve will have to come from Dr Rick Robertson. He will approve them query by query. CHB does not allow anything outside the firewall to access Synapse (for example, no laptop). People can not come with their 3rd application and do a query. However, for a technical piece like the first tests, it will be possible to move forward. Bill and Paul will be the liaisons.
- Jesse talked to the Department chair at BIDMC about our project and he is OK we everything we proposed so far.
- IRB: Shawn suggested that we will need an IRB approval to start doing our tests
- be able to test the infrastructure
- each individual project must be approved by the IRBs. All the people on the IRB must be CITI trained.
- we will be very restrictive to start . We want to enable Steve and Rick to connect us, see what works and what the constraints are. The people on the IRB are the only ones to have access to a limited subset of data and the data will go nowhere.
- we could use an IRB amendment for the IRB for i2b2 at CHB, BIDMC and Partners. Charles is in charge at CHB, Shawn at Partners and Griffin Webber at BIDMC.
- Request for IT resources.
- BIDMC: Jesse will provide the form that must be submitted to start the request chain for any resources needed by the department, which requires any BIDMC IT resources whatsoever. Typically at least a couple meetings are needed between the requestor, PACS representative, and IS representative, even if the request is as simple as requesting a network port.
