mi2b2 software/hardware update
- Steve reports that the BWH enabled version 6 mi2b2 software and the Mac client version of the client software has worked perfectly to download all the data from 327 MRNs associated with their IRB, there were 165 that were requested of which only one failed. Steve will go back to Ron to complete the requests for downloading all additional images that they need for their project. Note that this marks the achievement of a number of new milestones. Steve has a few suggestions based on using it that could improve the interface that he is passing along to the development team.
- New cache management software is set up such that each Project has an allocated cache of 500GB disk space. Until that cache is filled, the users mi2b2 Workbench will continue to work to down load images. If it is full, an error message will be generated.
- To manage the time limit for each Project, a parameter will be entered into the i2b2/RPDR Project Management cell for study expiration date. That way if a person applies for an extension it is easy for our team to implement. Need to work out the administrative details (e.g. training materials, email notifications, etc).
- Kathy reported a theft of the mi2b2 dev server from their facility in Brookline. She is reporting the theft to the appropriate authorities and will report back on what next.
- CHB is still working on incorporating mi2b2 Version 6. Apparently the security issue has been resolved. Randy will check in again with him to see if we can do anything to help.
- BIDMC is waiting for the mac mini server that was ordered to arrive then Jesse will try to deploy that version of mi2b2 there.
Development of an initial mi2b2 manuscript
- Targeting a submission for Journal of Digital Imaging (JDI)
- Shawn, Randy, Steve to brainstorm initial framework for content
- Kathy suggests that in addition to the technical details of the programming and a clinical example (and future applications) for illustration, to also include the important information regarding privacy, HIPAA and regulatory compliance.
- Normal baby brain atlas is really a great showcase, with important societal relevance
