Objective

Photodynamic diagnostics is a fast and non-invasive method of imaging in many cases of early stages in neoplastic diseases.
It is based on natural phenomenon of light emission from tissues after the excitation with laser light of endogenous and exogenous substances selectively absorbed in neoplastic tissues.

The main goal of our project is to create e-atlas of photodynamic images, which is
a tool to promote the knowleadge of photodynamic images and diagnosis methods.

Approach, Plan

We want to create the Computer Aided Diagnosis Workstation
to monitor the diagnostic and therapy stages. We want to use Slicer to present the skin cancer therapy plan.

Progress

Four tasks has been implemented:
- Photodynamic image acquisition
- Patient Data Repository
- Computer Aided Diagnosis
- Workflow Management
