* The data for Lynn DeLisi's scans have been sent to her since last meeting; she is analyzing the data so we don't have to do anything more for the time being

* Marc finished a working script that can split and measure tracts between ROIs. When he returns from MICCAI we will take a closer look at this and present some sample output.

* Sylvain noted that there is no 'OR' function when selecting tracts in DTMRI (while you can use 'AND' and 'NOT'). He will talk to Raul about adding this option into the module.

* Kate is doing fiber tracking of the fornix for 8 cases (4 NC, 4 VCFS). Current method works well for majority of cases, but for 2-3 of the cases, no tracts are created for the right fornix.

<br />'''NAMIC Meeting next week'''
* This is a difficult region for the 1.5T data; slice thickness may be too big for the posterior curve of the fornix

* Changing tractography settings doesn't help this problem; we will try to smooth the DWIs, and increase the resampling rate of the labelmaps

* Sylvain will meet with Doug and Kate to work out a better method.

<br />'''3T cases'''

* Next tuesday there will be a meeting between Cores 1 and 3. Sylvain and Marc will be demonstrating ongoing work.

* Marc has been working on post-processing of new cases; this pipeline should be done by the end of this month.

* Marek will need preliminary data (cingulate tractography) on these scans by the end of the year

DTI Meeting Minutes | October 11, 2006

Present: Doug, Kate, Marc, Sylvain, Jenny, Martha, Gordon, Toshiro, CF, Katharina, Gudrun, Marek

Review of last week

  1. Fornix tractography
    • Sylvain spent time with Doug and Kate this week to figure out the 'bad' fornix cases, but they weren't able to remedy the problem cases. Lowering the anisotropy threshold does not help.
    • Sylvain will email case to Gordon so that he can take a closer look
  2. Cutting tracts
    • Marc wrote a Matlab script to read in tracts (.vtk) and cut along planar labelmap ROIs. Doug will show the output of the script at the next meeting.

OR function in DTMRI

  • Sylvain noted that there is no 'OR' function when selecting tracts in DTMRI (while you can use 'AND' and 'NOT'). He will talk to Raul about adding this option into the module.

NAMIC Meeting next week

  • Next tuesday there will be a meeting between Cores 1 and 3. Sylvain and Marc will be demonstrating ongoing work.
