Steve Pieper visited MeVis to learn about their research and software development work and to discuss interoperability of 3D Slicer and their MeVisLab software.

• This quick experiment was possible due to the similar technical roots of MeVisLab and 3D Slicer, in terms of their mutual use of ITK, Qt, python, and Florian's PythonQt package. Many interesting options are available for developers with an interest in integrating the two systems.
