Objective: To quantify changes in diffusion properties along the cingulum bundle for schizophrenics and normal controls.

Progress: We improved the diffusion MRI module in slicer to allow for a better fiber selection (based on multiple regions of interest) as well as fiber clustering. We set up a processing pipeline to allow for statistical computations of fiber diffusion properties across the fibers of a fiber bundle and along the bundle itself. Further, we are in the process of developing a continuous representation of fiber bundles (see Figure) to allow for a more geometric computation of bundle diffusion quantities.
