Description

Python, Perl, Scheme or Java. Tcl was originally designed as a simple, embeddable command language.

Tk is a graphical user interface toolkit that makes it possible to create powerful GUIs quickly. It has proved so popular that it now ships with all distributions of Tcl.

Role In NAMIC

Tcl/Tk is typically used as an interface to toolkits implemented in C++ (e.g., ITK). The CableSwig program (or equivalent) is used to automatically generate Tcl bindings for these toolkits.
