Review of Slicer Course

I really enjoyed the course and learned a lot. I think it had a nice mix of science and hands on.

People attended either to learn about slicer because they have adopted it or they wanted to learn enough to make a good decision about whether or not to adopt it. And then I suppose there is a third group that is trying to understand NA-MIC and whether or not adopt the underlying software approach for their project. I fall into the last two groups. At this point, Slicer is like the other comparable tools, it is really good at some things and lacks depth in other areas. No better, no worse.

With respect to the software development environment and tools, I really am glad to see the effort going into this. But it is not clear to me at this point that it is any better than using a commercial set of tools like IDL or MATLAB as the infrastructure.

THank you for all of your effort in putting on the course and developing the software.
