Software for the fiber tracking and statistical analysis along the tracts has been implemented. The statistical methods for diffusion tensors are implemented as ITK code as part of the [[NA-MIC/Projects/Diffusion_Image_Analysis/DTI_Software_and_Algorithm_Infrastructure|DTI Software Infrastructure]] project. The methods have been validated on a repeated scan of a healthy individual. This work has been published as a conference paper (MICCAI 2005) and a journal version (MEDIA 2006). Our recent IPMI 2007 paper includes a nonparametric regression method for analyzing data along a fiber tract.

Key Investigators

  • BWH: Wendy Plesniak, Alex Zaitsev, Ron Kikinis

Objective

We are developing a Slicer command-line module for PET SUV computation and a wizard interface to a specific workflow for PET SUV computation for longitudinal studies.

Approach, Plan

Our approach will be very similar to the ChangeTracker wizard in Slicer3.

Our plan for the project week is to

  • design the steps of the workflow
  • implement the GUI
  • implement the MRML nodes to hold state
  • discuss design of proper (CLI) interfaces to workflow engine
  • and begin to hook up logic, mrml and gui.

Progress

  • Commandline Module for SUV computation with multiple VOIs, multiple timepoints started. Close to being finished and will provide a calling convention for Alex to use in his workflow engine.

Delivery Mechanism

This work will be delivered to the NA-MIC Kit as a built-in module in Slicer3.7
