1. Consultation
- Ron did a new consultation this week, Valerie will create an issue in Jira.
2. Education program
- During each presentation, speakers will be asked to use the formal citation language to acknowledge Harvard Catalyst's support: http://catalyst.harvard.edu/about/citingsupport.html
- Jeff was approached by the Society of Nuclear Medicine clinical trial section, they are looking for speakers and material similar to what we present for the imaging in oncology sessions. Before agreeing to share our material we must make sure that we get the credentials and that Harvard Catalyst support will be mentioned.
- Valerie will contact Michele Sinunu to ask her to send evaluation form to the people who attended the previous education sessions.
- Genetics faces a similar problem with low attendance rate compare to registration rate.
- Gordon suggested to make the enrollment selective, similar to what is done for the ICI course that has a very no show rate. For example people would apply to attend the course but they would get confirmation 2 or 3 weeks before the course.
- Another option, already discussed previously, is to organize a series of lectures during lunch time, in a very central location at the different institutions. Depending on the audience, the best time of the day varies: MDs prefer early morning, investigators prefer PM lectures.
3. June internal report
- The mid-year internal evaluation report is due on June 30th. Valerie will meet with Michele Sinunu to define 5 to 10 metrics on which our group wants to report.
4. Report on imaging core users in 2009
- Valerie was asked by Harvard Catalyst to provide more information about the imaging core usage that has gone up about 50% year on year. Lee and Laura take this message forward (pointing to our group’s significant marketing efforts and web presence as a driving force behind the increase), they’re interested in finding out WHO are these core users? They are interested in getting information about the core users – by the user’s institutions. It would be very helpful to have data indicating that investigators from all of the hospitals are benefiting from the cores.
