1. Consultations
- A couple of new consultations have been entered in the JIRA system, all are assigned.
- Valerie will work with the research navigators to get the names of the people who applied for pilot grant with an imaging component. We will then reach to them (funded or not funded) and offer them our consultation service.
2. Education program
- Friday May 21 st was the last session of the Advanced medical imaging series, it was the second imaging in oncology session. It was held at BWH. The attendance was good (50%). We received a good feedback on the evaluation sheet, most people thought that the level was just right. Two people liked the course but would like to see basic imaging courses offered.
- New offering for the fall:
- We could organize half-day Slicer sessions where people would do a hands-on tutorial online first and then come to the course and be able to run their data with the help of an instructor. According to Ron, if we schedule a 3 hours session and have 4 instructors on hand we should be able to help 12 PI at each session.
- Osirix: Randy talked to a couple of residency program, a couple of residents might be interested but apparently there is not a huge need for training (offered by Harvard Catalyst). It is still worth investigate if clinical translational scientists in research would view it as a useful too,, it is a very good open source DICOM viewer.
- Valerie will work on the master calendar to look for dates for the fall offerings.
