This is a list of recommended (by friends of project-week) places to eat near the NH Constanza Hotel, Barcelona:

The conference is next door to a mall: l'Illa diagonal where you will find restaurants & cafes and a supermarket called Caprabo. Among the restaurants, try the fishes from Ribera Manero (tripadvisor) or the meat from Bovinum (tripadvisor).

• Tapas:
  • Cerveceria Catalana (tripadvisor, 29mn walk): good traditional tapas (careful, touristic)
  • Labarra (tripadvisor, 13mn walk): good modern tapas
• Galician food (Spain’s northwest, try the pulpo a la gallega): 2 small typical restaurants
  • O' Retorno (tripadvisor, 19mn walk)
  • Azul (14 mn walk)
• Chez Coco (tripadvisor, 14mn walk): specialised in poultry, very nice terrasse
• Feeling nostalgic?
  • Central Park (tripadvisor, 21mn walk): good burger/meat place
  • Kittys (tripadvisor, 10mn walk): Irish pub

The evening of the 23rd (Tuesday) is the Nit de St Joan (wikipedia): bonfires everywhere, fireworks and a lot of people on the beach, compulsory to eat Coca de St Joan with cava!
