DTI Meeting Minutes | December 13, 2006

SCANNING

• Marc is continuing to work on EPI outlier removal
• NQ is in Taiwan but is working on distortion correction
• Marek used new GE FAT saturation on most recent scans, but there wasn't a clear improvement. FAT saturation is still a major problem; artifact is not as prominent after update but still present.
• Sylvain and Marc noted that the new GE gradient directions are well distributed, similar to Gordon's scheme
• There are severe artifacts on FSPGRs we acquire with new DTI sequence; Marek will be meeting with NQ and new physicist and will discuss this. Sylvain noted that there is no easy way for correction, though we can try something with UNU.
• Gordon announced that he was scanned by Golby group yesterday using different coordinate frames, and that the gradients track the grid along which measurements were made (so, our assumption is correct)

Fornix: Jenny presented on her findings doing tractography of the fornix in chronic SZ.
