Dissemination:July19 Meeting UCLA CCB

Steve Pieper visited with CCB researchers and discussed projects that touch on both NA-MIC and CCB activities and well as discussing possible new projects.

• Worked with Mike Pan and Jags on the LONI Pipeline integration with Slicer and ITK as an extension of the processes in place before and during the programmer's week projects. Issues with backslashes in the pathnames passed from the pipeline to ITK based programs on windows was identified as an issue to be worked out.

• Met with CCB researcher Dandiel Valentino about the CT Angio data that he's working to post-process in preparation for various simulation studies. We tested some existing algorithyms in 3D Slicer. Subsequent meetings with SPL imaging researchers have confirmed that the particular vessels (arterries in the skull base) are not readily segmented with existing techniques and will require further research. This is an open area for further collaboration.
