Introduction

3D Slicer, is a free, open source software package for visualization and image analysis. The goal of the workshop is to show 3D Slicer can be used as in image-guided therapy research application software platform.

Topics include:

  • 3D Slicer as image-guided therapy (IGT) software application platform (slides)
  • Slicer modules: Volumes, Fiducials, Transforms, Data, Save/Load, Segmentation (Editor and automatic), Registration (slides)
  • Programming Slicer (MRML, CLI)
  • Live ultrasound in Slicer demo (OpenIGTLink IF, broadcaster application) (slides)

Training faculty: Andras Lasso and Tamas Ungi (Laboratory for Percutaneous Surgery, Queen's University)
