Harvard Translational Imaging Consortium Meeting Minutes July 7, 2009

1. Update on imaging consultation requests

  • Discussion of the ongoing consultations (Dr Gaglia, MRI) and new consultation (Dr Pradhan, Vital project)
    • Bob will contacted Dr Gaglia to assess his needs about analysis/visualization of MRI T2 an T2* data. They will follow-up with a meeting with Ron to talk about the use of Slicer.
    • Todd contacted Dr Pradhan to gather more information about the VITAL project. Dr Pradhan is going to get back in touch with him when she is further along in her planning.


2. Demonstration of JIRA system by Genoa Wall

  • Genoa gave a demo of the new JIRA system to track consultation. JIRA should be launch on July 16 or 23.


3. Education program

  • Jeff and Randy are working with Katarzyna Macura from Johns Hopkins on a breast MRI case for Slicer for the CTSA led training program at RSNA 2009.
    • Once the data set is received, Wendy will work on customization of Slicer for the use case.


4. Informatics update

  • Yong is working on a pilot deployment of IDMS based on XNAT to support selected individual research projects:
    • MGH: Brad Dickerson
    • CHB: Ellen Grant, Stephan Voss, Simon Warfield
    • Yong and Katie will work on the development of a user guide.
  • The next step will be an IDMS deployment for a larger group of research projects (e.g: Martinoscenter, CHB Radiology, BWH (tbd)
    • There will be a need for a business plan to assign resources once we have implemented several versions.
