1. I squared: program overview.

  • Randy formally asked Harvard Catalyst for travel funds for the activities previously planed (ACRIN in September and RSNA in December). She did not get an answer yet.
  • David reaffirmed that imaging is a key component of the new I squared program. There will be discussions and forums organized in the fall and it would be important to have the group present.
  • David mentioned that there is a plan to reach out to the KL2 awardees. When they present their project, it would be very valuable to have members from the imaging group in the panel. We must be pro-active into brining imaging in projects where it is not existent but would be very valuable.

2. mi2b2 update

  • The grant ends in September 2011. The group submitted a grant to for continuing funding development. Meetings with the hospitals SVP are being scheduled to ask for support. The good news is that at the end of the grant, we will have a product working and teaching material ready.

3. Education

  • Jeff is working with Eliot's team on the next biomarker course scheduled for early October.
  • Our 2 projects are a series of MRI workshops and a course at MIT during the AIP period. For the latest, we are planning on a week-long course, the target audience will be students, post-docs and MIT faculties.
